Bread with Herbs
Ingredients
- 60 g yeast
- 700 ml water
- 1 kg fine wholewheat flour
- 3 teaspoon salt
- 2 bunch of mixed herbs
- 70 g butter
Preparation
- Dilute the yeast in a bit of water.
- Knead the diluted yeast, flour, salt, the rest of the water and fine chopped herbs to a dough.
- Knead 60 g butter after 1 to 2 minutes to the dough.
- Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
- Knead the dough again and let it rest again for 30 minutes.
- Knead the dough once more, make a loaf out of it and put it on a fatted baking-sheet.
- Let the dough rest for 20 minutes.
- Bake the bread 20 minutes at 250° C. Give a vessel with water to the bread while it is baking.
- Put the vessel away and bake the bread for 25 minutes more at 250° C.
