Poppy Yeast Cake
Ingredients
- 500g flour
- 30 g yeast
- 250 g sugar
- 1 1/4 l milk
- 3 eggs
- 50 g margarine
- 125 g semolina
- 250 g grinded poppy seeds
- 1 package vanillinsugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 100 g grinded almonds
- Juice of 1/2 lemon

Preparation
- Mix a little bit of flour with the yeast, a little bit of sugar and a little bit warm milk.
- Let it rest at a warm place covered for 15 minutes.
- Add the rest of the flour, 50 g sugar, 1/4 l milk and 1 egg.
- Melt the margarine in a pot and knead everything.
- Let it rest at a warm place covered for 30 minutes more.
- Boil 1 l milk.
- Add the semolina and the poppy seeds to the milk and let it stay at low temperature for 30 minutes.
- Add 200 g sugar, the vanillinsugar, the salt, the almonds, the lemonjuice and 2 egg yolk.
- Stir 2 egg-white to stiff and add it to the dough.
- Roll the dough on baking paper out and make a 4 cm height border out of baking paper.
- Put the poppy on the dough.
- Bake for 40 minutes at 200° C.
